Job Summary
Our client is looking for a skilled Journeyman Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment used throughout the manufacturing process. This role requires a highly experienced mechanic who can diagnose complex mechanical issues, perform precision repairs, and help maintain safe, efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reduce unexpected downtime.
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Align, calibrate, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
- Work with maintenance and production teams to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Mechanic certification or equivalent industrial mechanical experience.
- Strong background in industrial maintenance and repair.
- Experience with manufacturing or foundry equipment is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy industrial equipment.
