About Us
Singing Bamboo is a well-established Chinese restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine and dim sum in West Palm Beach for over 40 years. We are looking for an experienced, hardworking cook to take ownership of our fry station and assist with daily prep.
This is a fast-paced position that plays an important role in the success of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fried appetizers and entrée items with consistency and quality.
- Handle daily prep for the fry station and other kitchen needs.
- Bread, portion, marinate, and prepare ingredients.
- Maintain oil quality and fryer cleanliness.
- Follow recipes and portion standards.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout service.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking, and rotating inventory.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Work closely with the chef and kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience required.
- Chinese restaurant experience preferred.
- Experience with deep fryers and high-volume service.
- Ability to work cleanly, quickly, and efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus, but not required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Approximately 11:00 AM–9:00 PM
- Six days per week
