Job Overview
The Account Manager is to work in conjunction with a Sales Executive to maintain and increase the overall sales in the assigned territory. Key areas of responsibility for the Account Manager are described below. REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner. EDUCATION • Required: High school diploma or equivalent. • Preferred: College degree with an emphasis in business or sales EXPERIENCE • Required: Minimum of 3 years experience in phone-based/inside sales • Required: Demonstrable success managing accounts • Preferred: Experience selling badges, coins, pins, patches, and other promotional products to the public safety industry SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES • Ability to act with professional courtesy in all situations • Ability to understand and translate company goals into daily activities • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and focus and execute against highest priorities • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate in all interpersonal interactions Account Manager 2 • Ability to use commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Account Representative field to maintain favorable relationships with current and potential customers • Organization is key • Ability to think and work independently, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment within scope of responsibility • Ability to utilize MS Office with proficiency DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The principle duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Administrative The main function of the Account Manager is free up time for the Sales Executive to be able to prospect new business. The Account Manager will be the point of contact for all inbound calls for the assigned territory. The Account Manager will handle all orders and quote requests from existing customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for completing and submitting vendor quotes, order forms, and spec sheets for all business in their assigned territory. The Account Manager will also handle the art request function for the assigned territory. Business Development The Account Manager is responsible for all sales from existing customers in the assigned territory. This includes all orders that are sent by email or received by phone. The Account Manager is also responsible for cross-selling other products to existing customers as they place orders. The Account Manager will be responsible for following up on the DNP list in their territory. The Account manager will also work with the Sales Executive on executing the territory development plan each month. Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
