Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing cash register operations and maintaining stock levels throughout the store. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Need weekend and holiday availability as well as a flexible schedule for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, purchases, and returns.
- Ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organized for optimal presentation.
- Ensure deliveries are received accurately and put away.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in restocking merchandise as needed.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for shoppers.
- Operate lottery machine.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Previous lottery machine experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds/cases of liquor/wine.
- Ability to supervise stock levels and maintain organization within the store.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
