Job Overview
Carder’s Outdoor Living is seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping / Hardscaping Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial landscape and hardscape projects from planning through completion.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in landscape construction and understands what it takes to successfully manage a project in the field. This position requires someone who can coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and customers while keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and completed to Carder’s standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands construction, and can confidently manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage landscape and hardscape projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedules.
- Oversee job sites to ensure quality, productivity, and safety.
- Review plans, drawings, project scope, and specifications.
- Monitor project costs, labor, and materials.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, crews, and the office.
- Address job-site issues and keep projects moving forward.
- Manage change orders and additional work.
- Ensure projects meet company standards, applicable codes, and permit requirements.
Skills
- Experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, or outdoor living construction.
- Strong knowledge of pavers, retaining walls, patios, grading, drainage, outdoor living spaces, and related construction.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings.
- Experience with estimating and job costing.
- Strong leadership and crew management skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work outdoors and be present on active job sites.
