The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for 30 years is seeking an experienced BIM/Civil 3D Modeling Specialist to increase our capacity for civil modeling, BIM/Revit coordination, and construction support. This role is ideal for a technically capable, detail-oriented professional with mid-level experience who can work independently while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, designers, estimators, field personnel, and other project stakeholders.The BIM / Civil 3D Modeling Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, construction-ready models and supporting project teams through design development, revisions, coordination, and constructability review.
Key Responsibilities:
Civil 3D Modeling
- Develop, update, and maintain Civil 3D surface models using survey data, design information, field data, and project documentation.
- Develop existing and proposed surfaces and perform surface comparisons and analysis.
- Support grading, site development, and earthwork modeling.
- Incorporate design revisions, field conditions, and project changes into current models.
- Review models for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and constructability.
- Prepare model information and deliverables to support estimating, planning, and construction activities.
BIM / Revit Modeling & Coordination
- Create, update, and maintain BIM and Revit models for construction and project coordination.
- Coordinate models across disciplines and identify potential conflicts or constructability issues.
- Support clash detection and resolution between architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and other project elements as applicable.
- Incorporate approved design changes and field information into coordinated models.
- Maintain model organization, accuracy, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Construction & Project Support
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, engineers, designers, and field personnel to translate project information into accurate models.
- Support construction planning, sequencing, layout, and coordination through 3D modeling.
- Assist with constructability reviews and identify discrepancies between drawings, models, survey information, and field conditions.
- Interpret construction drawings, design documents, survey information, and other technical project information.
- Provide modeling support for project-specific needs and help develop repeatable modeling workflows and standards.
- Maintain organized project files and modeling documentation.

The successful candidate should be capable of managing multiple modeling and coordination tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.
Typical work capacities include:
- Civil 3D Surface Modeling: Develop and maintain existing and proposed surfaces from survey, design, and field information.
- Site & Grading Modeling: Build and modify grading models, site features, and related civil model elements.
- BIM/Revit Modeling: Develop and maintain 3D building and construction models for coordination and project support.
- Model Coordination: Review models from multiple disciplines, identify conflicts, and support resolution of coordination issues.
- Construction Modeling: Convert drawings, survey information, field conditions, and design intent into practical construction models.
- Revision Management: Quickly incorporate design changes, RFIs, field changes, and updated project information into active models.
- Quality Control: Perform model checks for accuracy, completeness, consistency, conflicts, and constructability.
- Project Team Support: Respond to modeling needs from project management, estimating, engineering, design, and field teams.
- Independent Production: Take ownership of assigned modeling tasks with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Multiple-Project Support: Manage priorities and deliverables across multiple active projects while meeting project schedules.
Required / Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have mid-level professional experience in civil/BIM modeling and demonstrate proficiency in several of the following areas:
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- Autodesk Revit
- AGTEK or similar earthwork/modeling software
- BIM and 3D construction modeling
- Existing and proposed surface development
- Surface comparisons and analysis
- Grading and site modeling
- Construction drawings and design documents
- Model coordination and clash detection
- Constructability review
- Survey and field data interpretation
- Construction or heavy civil project experience
