Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a positive first impression.
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations accurately.
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu options, restaurant policies, and special requests.
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of reservation materials and guest areas.
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service.
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred.
- Strong background in food service or hospitality enhances your ability to connect with guests.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective guest relations and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations contributes to maintaining high standards of service.
