We are seeking a part-time Human Resources Generalist for our Houma, LA facility. Approximately 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Schedule is flexible. Position is eligible for a 401(k) along with a generous employer match.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist provides advanced administrative and operational support to Executive Leadership and Human Resources. The position requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Executive Support
- Prepare presentations, customer questionnaires, and supporting documents; take and distribute minutes when needed.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including itineraries, logistics, and expense reporting.
Human Resources Support
- Coordinate recruitment efforts: post jobs, schedule interviews, manage candidate correspondence, and complete pre‑employment screenings.
- Facilitate new‑hire onboarding: prepare packets, I‑9/E‑Verify, and orientations.
- Support benefits administration: enrollments/changes/terminations, open enrollment, and invoice reconciliation.
- Assist with routine HR inquiries; escalate complex matters to HR Director.
- Assist with payroll prep: review daily time cards and initiate corrections when needed.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR communications; create monthly and quarterly newsletters.
- Assist with compiling Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data for reporting.
- Manage data for Field Service Technicians: certifications, customer portals, VISAS, travel arrangements, etc.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, and other executive-level materials.
- Maintain organized filing systems—digital and physical—and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Manage special projects, conduct research, and compile data to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred
- 2+ years of exposure to HR processes is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation
