Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional service. We are a heavily cosmetic practice and you will be assisting in laser treatments, face and neckifts, all fillers, toxins and skin cancer treatments Our practice offers Mohs micrographic surgery , liposuction, cool sculpting We also perform dermatologic medical procedures, treat psoriasis, phototherapy extrac laser treatments and number one in photo dynamic therapy.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive first impression.
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support physicians during examinations and procedures across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness according to infection control protocols.
- Administer medications or injections under supervision, following proper safety procedures and medication administration guidelines.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans in outpatient clinics or hospital settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty practices like dermatology
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology to support accurate patient care.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and data managemen
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations
