Position Overview
The Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider will provide comprehensive care for adult gastroenterology patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Working closely with Gastroenterologists, the APP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of digestive health conditions while supporting inpatient consults, follow-up care, and care coordination.
Schedule and Practice
- Full-time position
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Minimum 32 patient-facing hours weekly
- Shared clinic call rotation among providers
- Primarily outpatient practice with inpatient consultation support
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage gastroenterology patients
- Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within scope of practice
- Conduct pre-procedure and post-procedure evaluations
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and community resources
- Provide patient education and disease management counseling
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
- Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Oregon NP or PA license, or ability to obtain
- NCCPA certification (PA) or AANP/ANCC/NCC/AMCB certification (NP)
- DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Experience utilizing electronic medical records
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Gastroenterology experience
- Epic EMR experience

Pay: $138,683.00 - $159,486.00 per year
