We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role assists with budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Assistant Project Manager is also expected to fully manage smaller-scale projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Cost Estimating: Assist in preparing project cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Support the review of drawings, specifications, and scope requirements to develop accurate cost projections.
- Proposal Preparation: Assist in the development and preparation of project proposals, including scope descriptions, pricing information, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Contract Administration: Support the administration of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Assist in reviewing contract requirements and ensuring project activities remain compliant with contractual obligations.
- Submittals & Documentation: Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and other project records to ensure accurate and organized project files.
- Scheduling: Assist with project scheduling, monitor project timelines, and coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to maintain progress toward key project milestones.
- Trade & Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate activities with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
- Project Correspondence: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders including clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal team members regarding project status, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC): Support project quality standards by assisting with inspections, reviewing work against project specifications, and ensuring quality requirements are met.
- Safety Management: Promote and support adherence to company and project safety standards. Coordinate with field leadership to help maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- Assistant Project Managers are expected to assist Project Managers with all the above duties and are at times can be expected to be solely responsible for

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Dynamics365).
- Familiarity with construction management software (such as Procore or similar systems) preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or another related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in construction related project coordination, field operations, or project management support preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk on a computer.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Must possess a valid driver's license to travel to job sites.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
