Snellville Community Church is seeking a relational, energetic, and mission-driven Director of Family Engagement to help families with children find their place at the church by building meaningful relationships, identifying their next steps, and fostering a lasting sense of belonging.
This role is ideal for someone who loves building relationships, developing volunteers, creating welcoming environments, and helping people experience authentic community. Working alongside our Senior Pastor and ministry staff, you'll help families move from their first church visit to deeper engagement through discipleship, serving, and meaningful connections.
Whether your background is in family ministry, children's ministry, student ministry, education, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, hospitality, guest services, or volunteer leadership, we're looking for someone with a passion for helping people feel known, valued, and connected.
What You'll Do
- Build authentic relationships with children, students, parents, and families.
- Create welcoming environments that help first-time guests become actively engaged in the life of the church.
- Lead Discover SCC, our membership and Next Steps experience, helping individuals and families identify meaningful opportunities for discipleship, serving, and belonging.
- Partner with the Director of Preschool & Family Connections to help preschool families become connected and engaged in the life of the church.
- Plan and lead family engagement events that strengthen relationships and build community.
- Recruit, train, equip, encourage, and support volunteers.
- Partner with ministry leaders to identify volunteer needs and develop new volunteer leaders.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to strengthen ministries serving children, students, and families.
- Maintain a visible, welcoming presence on Sundays and during key church events.
- Help create a culture where every family feels known, valued, connected, and encouraged to take their next step.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent ministry or leadership experience preferred.
- Minimum of three to five years of leadership experience in a church, nonprofit, educational, community, or hospitality setting.
- Experience in family ministry, children's ministry, student ministry, education, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, hospitality, guest services, or volunteer development is strongly preferred.
