We are seeking a detail-oriented and Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the risks associated with loan applications, ensuring that all underwriting processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong mathematical skills, financial analysis capabilities, and a thorough understanding of credit analysis to make informed decisions that align with our organizational goals.
Duties
- Review and analyze loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Conduct risk analysis to assess potential risks associated with lending decisions.
- Collaborate with loan processing teams to ensure accurate documentation and compliance throughout the underwriting process.
- Experience with BHPH Dealerships.
Requirements
- Bilingual: English-Spanish
- Proven experience in underwriting or related fields such as loan origination or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in credit analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with Buy Here Pay Here systems and procedures is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
