Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate supervision and support to residents, ensuring a safe, respectful, and structured environment conducive to recovery.
- Monitor resident activities, enforce house rules, and manage behavioral issues with patience and professionalism.
- Assist with crisis intervention as needed, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Support residents with daily living activities, including medication administration, intake procedures, and behavioral health management.
- Maintain accurate documentation through data entry, filing, case management records, and incident reports to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, healthcare providers, and community resources to promote holistic support.
- Conduct routine safety checks, manual handling tasks, first aid responses, and CPR when necessary to uphold health standards.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in residential or behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage high-risk populations compassionately.
- Experience in addiction counseling, social work, or behavioral health fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
- Familiarity with medication administration, intake procedures, data collection, filing systems, and case management practices.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health conditions or from underserved communities.
- Certifications such as CPR, first aid, manual handling training are advantageous; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with residents and team members alike.
