About the Position
New Beginnings Construction & Remodeling is seeking an experienced, dependable Residential Construction Foreman to lead our crews in the field and help ensure our remodeling projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our standards of quality.
We are looking for someone who is more than a skilled tradesperson. The right candidate is a leader—someone who takes ownership of a job, sets the pace for the crew, communicates well, solves problems, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Our company is built on integrity, strong values, quality craftsmanship, and treating people the right way. We believe good employees should be trusted to do their jobs without being micromanaged. With that trust comes accountability, communication, and the expectation that our foremen will take ownership of the projects and crews assigned to them.
This is a hands-on position. Our foremen lead from the front and work alongside their crews while also keeping the job organized, productive, safe, and moving forward.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Residential Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day field execution of assigned remodeling projects. Responsibilities include:
- Review and understand the project scope of work, plans, specifications, and expectations before and throughout each phase of the project.
- Lead, direct, and work alongside construction team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally.
- Delegate work appropriately based on each team member's skills and experience to maximize productivity.
- Establish daily work goals and keep the crew focused on meeting project objectives and schedules.
- Monitor workmanship throughout the project and provide real-time quality control.
- Identify potential problems early and work with the Project Manager to develop practical solutions.
- Communicate with the Project Manager daily regarding project progress, upcoming needs, delays, concerns, and changes in the field.
- Anticipate material needs and coordinate with the Project Manager far enough in advance to prevent unnecessary project delays.
- Monitor the use of materials and help minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site throughout the project.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure team members follow appropriate job site safety practices.
- Train, encourage, and provide direction to less-experienced team members.
- Help maintain a positive and productive work environment while holding team members accountable for their responsibilities.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners, coworkers, subcontractors, vendors, and management.
- Representing New Beginnings Construction & Remodeling professionally while working in our customers' homes.
