POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Recruiter, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for the organization, from workforce planning and sourcing through onboarding and new hire integration. This position serves as a strategic talent acquisition partner, developing innovative recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and hire qualified candidates while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
The Senior Recruiter leads sourcing initiatives, manages requisitions, screens and interviews candidates, coordinates hiring activities, oversees onboarding processes, maintains recruitment records and employee files, and develops community partnerships to build long-term talent pipelines. This role also supports employment branding efforts, high school and college recruitment programs, career fairs, community outreach events, and workforce development initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring timelines.

Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for a variety of positions.

Create and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.

Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, community partnerships, and other recruitment channels.

Conduct phone screens, virtual interviews, and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications and organizational fit.

Coordinate and facilitate interview scheduling and communication between candidates and hiring teams.

Extend employment offers and manage pre-employment processes.

Other duties as assigned necessary to deliver all duties and responsibilities of the role.
- Recruitment Marketing & Community Outreach

Develop and maintain relationships with local high schools, colleges, universities, workforce boards, and community organizations.

Create and manage internship, practicum, apprenticeship, and student employment programs.

Represent the organization at job fairs, career expos, networking events, and community outreach activities.

Develop recruitment marketing materials and employment branding initiatives.

Utilize social media and other platforms to promote employment opportunities and strengthen the organization's employer brand.

Identify innovative recruitment opportunities and emerging sourcing trends.

Onboarding & New Hire Processing

Coordinate all pre-employment activities, including background screenings, reference checks, employment verification, and required documentation.

Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant new hire experience.

Ensure completion of employment forms, policies, acknowledgments, and other required documentation.

Partner with HR team members and supervisors to ensure successful employee transitions into the organization.

Track onboarding completion and support employee orientation activities.

Recruitment Administration & Data Management

Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruitment databases.

Create, post, update, and close job requisitions and employment advertisements.

Monitor recruitment metrics and prepare reports related to sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, applicant flow, and hiring outcomes.

Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment files, and new hire documentation.

Assist with employee file management and ensure records are maintained in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Ensure recruitment and hiring activities comply with employment laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Support audits and reporting requirements related to employment records and recruiting activities.

Strategic Recruitment Support

Analyze workforce trends and hiring challenges to recommend recruitment solutions.

Develop proactive recruiting initiatives for hard-to-fill positions.

Evaluate recruiting vendors, advertising sources, and recruitment technologies.

Continuously improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.

Education and Experience
Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of six (6) years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
- Experience in human resources department in addition to recruiting experience.
Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.

SHRM certification.

Experience recruiting in nonprofit, education, childcare, healthcare, or service-based environments.

Experience conducting community outreach, workforce development initiatives, or campus recruitment programs.
- Technical Skills

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Paycom preferred.
- Experience working within an HRIS system.

Proficient with LinkedIn Senior Recruiter and other professional platforms.

Proficient working with social media platforms for sourcing and branding.
