Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Waiter or busser to join our vibrant food service team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a positive attitude. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clover POS
- Provide detailed menu description and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, address any concerns promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Clear tables, bussing dishes swiftly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties with basic math skills
- Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols at all times
- Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses and kitchen staff to deliver seamless service in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably within fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Clover POS
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that fosters guest relations
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving, bussing, and assisting guests
- Demonstrated upselling abilities to promote menu items confidently and increase sales revenue
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or host/hostess positions that emphasize guest services and guest relations
