Join our dynamic team as a Budtender / Production Tech, where you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting the production and quality assurance of our premium cannabis products. This role combines engaging retail interactions with behind-the-scenes production responsibilities, offering a vibrant environment for motivated individuals eager to grow in the industry. You’ll play a vital part in educating customers, managing sales transactions, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of excellence.
Duties
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, guiding them through product options and answering questions about effects, strains, and consumption methods
- Conduct product demos to educate customers on new or featured items, highlighting unique qualities and usage tips
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash and electronic payments with professionalism
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending complementary items to enhance their experience
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure product availability and organization throughout the store
- Assist in the production process by preparing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products according to safety and quality standards
- Support inventory management through stocking supplies, conducting stock counts, and documenting product movements with attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear communication at all times
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments with cash handling responsibilities
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory tracking
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is desirable but not required
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Prior experience with merchandising, stocking, or retail sales transactions will help you succeed in this role
- Must be 21+ and able to pass all required state background checks.
- Maine State R.I.C Card " Registry Identifaction Card".
