POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the licenses Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations; and supervises the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staff in the delivery of direct resident care.

Qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with valid state license
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, and working with geriatric patients
- Proficient in basic life support, first aid, catheterization, IV insertion/infusion, and patient assessments
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) and nursing documentation
- Strong care planning, policy compliance, and clinical supervision abilities
- Excellent teamwork, triage, and communication skills in a facility setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to geriatric and long-term care residents, including assessment, monitoring, and updating care plans.
- Perform clinical tasks such as wound care, catheterization, IV insertion/infusion, and basic life support as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, document in EHR/Cerner/Athenahealth, and report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to triage, prioritize patient needs, and coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure safety and comfort, maintain accurate patient charts, and adhere to quality and regulatory standards.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.25 per hour
