Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to lead the planning, estimation, and execution of large-scale electrical projects. Duties
- Prepare accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates utilizing construction estimating software and industry best practices.
- Develop comprehensive project proposals by reviewing construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control using project management software such as EBM, OST, Procore and Microsoft Office tools.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead construction schedule coordination and monitor progress against project timelines; proactively address delays or issues.
- Review construction drawings for accuracy and constructability; manage change orders and contract negotiations effectively.
- Supervise on-site activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed in accordance with NFPA standards and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource utilization to maximize profitability.
- Provide leadership to project teams by assigning tasks, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment focused on quality delivery.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Have Reliable Transportation
- Effectively prepare competitive job estimates for commercial electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, blueprints reading, schematics interpretation, specifications and system design principles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, OST, EBM; experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential.
- Deep understanding of electrical codes including NEC standards and NFPA 70 compliance requirements; involvement in the permitting phase is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules effectively through construction scheduling techniques; experience with construction management software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments.
- Construction site experience combined with a solid background in electrical engineering or related fields is required.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while managing multiple projects simultaneously; ability to oversee contracts and project scope changes confidently.
