Position Overview: As the Nurse Educator, RN, you will play a vital role in preparing and supporting caregivers through orientation, skills validation, and ongoing education. This position focuses on developing confident, competent caregivers while ensuring quality standards are maintained across multiple office locations. In addition to education responsibilities, there may be opportunities to assist with client assessments and supervisory visits based on availability and agency needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate new hire caregiver orientation programs across multiple office locations.
- Conduct skills demonstrations and competency check-offs for new caregivers.
- Complete caregiver skills validation profiles and document match criteria to support appropriate client placements.
- Provide individual and group training sessions on caregiving skills, safety practices, and company standards.
- Become certified to facilitate Dementia Live® experiences and deliver dementia-related education to caregivers, clients, and community partners.
- Organize and host ongoing skills labs, refresher courses, and continuing education opportunities.
- Mentor and support caregivers through coaching and education to promote quality care and professional growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to orientation, skills validation, and training activities.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Quality Care, Recruiting, and Scheduling teams to ensure caregivers are adequately prepared for client assignments.
- Participate in community education events and special training initiatives as needed.
- Based on availability and agency needs, assist with Initial Assessments, 90-Day Reassessments, and Caregiver Supervisory Visits.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Experience in Home Care, Geriatrics, or RN Supervisory roles preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to write a detailed, non-medical Care Plan.
- Ability to work independently in a Home Care setting.
