Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to provide exceptional patient care in our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and has experience performing clinical testing and assisting physicians during patient visits.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient histories and accurately document information in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform preliminary testing including visual acuity, refractions, pupil assessments, motility testing, visual fields, and intraocular pressure measurements
- Maintain accurate medication, allergy, medical, surgical, and ocular histories
- Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with in-office procedures
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards
- Provide outstanding patient care while maintaining efficiency in a busy clinical setting
Qualifications:
- Previous ophthalmic technician experience required
- Proficiency with refractions, lensometer, phoropter, and applanation tonometry
- Strong computer and EHR documentation skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
Travel:
Occasional travel to our Canal Winchester and Washington Courthouse satellite offices may be required based on business needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
