Advanced Orthopedic Center has provided expert orthopedic care in Southwest Florida since 1980. Our team includes leading orthopedic surgeons, physicians, physician assistants, and therapists. We are proud to serve as spring training physicians for the Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves.
We’re currently seeking a Certified Radiologic Technologist to join our fast-paced, patient-focused team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform diagnostic x-ray imaging procedures on patients in a private Orthopedic office setting
- Operate x-ray equipment to obtain high quality images for interpretations by physicians
- Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions to ensure accurate imaging results
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure patient safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Ensure that images are sent to PACS and any outside discs are properly loaded into PACS
- Function as a clinical assistant to physicians
- Collect patient history and document into EMR
- Other duties: assist with dressing changes, casting, stitch and staple removal, writing up surgery paperwork, and scanning as needed
Skills
- Proficient in operating x-ray equipment and related technology
- Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Licensed in theState of Florida
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office preferred
- Orthopedic experience is a plus
