- A LEADING MOVING COMPANY IN NEW YORK, is recruiting for truck drivers with moving experience for an immediate start.
The driver will also participate in the moving process.
We will immediately schedule a road test for qualified drivers.
If you drive well and have clean driving records, we are looking to hire drivers right there on the spot!
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a driver in New York City
- An excellent knowledge of trucking routes in the city
- A knowledge of handling fragile and sensitive items
- A clean drivers license
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, such as log books, etc.
- Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
- Prior experience in packing fragile items additionally would be a great help
- Ability to use initiative
-This is a full time position
-Experience in art handling and installation is a bonus !
The company provides competitive hourly pay based on experience. The candidate must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
Must be available throughout the week (Mon. - Sun.). Days are assigned on a weekly basis depending on business needs.

Required education:
- High school or equivalent

- Interstate Driving: 1 year
- Driving: 2 year
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a truck 18-26 feet (NO CDL up to 26,000 GVW)
- Drive conscientiously, maintaining safe distances, avoiding accidents.
- Read and understand signs, directions and maps in English.
- Driver will be responsible for all paperwork to be properly filled out and submitted to operations manager as needed at the end of each day.
- Parking vehicles legally to avoid parking violations.
- Wrap, pack, unpack, lift, carry, stack, push, and pull a variety of household/office goods and customer belongings following company procedures.
- Ensuring goods are delivered to customers promptly through the utilization of strong route knowledge and professional service.
- Inspecting vehicles and reporting any issues that may hinder the fulfillment of any customer deliveries.
- Employees are also tasked with cleaning up after themselves (removing packing material rubbish, folding blankets, stacking dollies and the like).
