Account Manager – Chateau Domingue, a division of Domingue & Co.
Location: Houston, Texas | Full-Time | Base Salary + Benefits
Join Domingue & Co., the nation’s premier source for reclaimed European architectural building materials. Our Houston showroom blends design, history, and craftsmanship, offering clients truly one-of-a-kind materials.
We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Account Manager to drive sales and work directly with the Executive Director and Owner while ensuring a seamless experience for clients and internal teams. You’ll guide clients through our collections — from reclaimed stone and wood to monumental architectural elements — and serve as the connective tissue between the Executive Director and Owner, clients, workshops, and logistics. Success means embracing our brand, working fluidly in a fast-paced environment, and doing whatever it takes to help the team thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Executive Support: Work directly with the Executive Director and Owner on day-to-day priorities, and drive projects and sales initiatives they specify from start to finish.
- Sales Management: Process sales, manage inquiries, and track sales activity across the team.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, design professionals, and private clients — understanding their needs and responding confidently while consulting leadership as needed.
- Showroom Consultations: Lead showroom consultations and presentations, guiding clients through our collections.
- Product Knowledge & Sourcing: Stay informed on product knowledge and material sourcing across reclaimed stone, wood, and monumental architectural elements.
- Organizational Excellence: Keep operations structured and aligned with top priorities set by the Executive Director and Owner.
- Communication & Coordination: Ensure seamless information flow between the Executive Director and Owner, sales, workshops, and logistics — minimizing errors by following processes and correctly documenting invoices.
- Sales Process: Generate quotes and invoices, track payments, and photograph items as needed to update listings.
- Sample Control: Oversee sample shipments and maintain control of all sales samples in coordination with the team.
- Inside Sales & Client Relations: Welcome walk-in clients, handle calls and emails, and support inside sales as needed.
- Workflow Optimization: Structure workflows to ensure efficiency and balance across the week.
- Team Contribution: Support areas such as inventory and cash flow; participate in meetings to refine and improve processes.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, executive/administrative support, or client-facing roles — preferably in luxury design, architecture, or specialty retail.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the confidence to calculate pricing, labor, and cut-to-size material and waste estimates accurately on a daily basis.
- Solution-oriented mindset, able to think critically alongside the team and help identify a path forward when issues arise — ideally with experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Comfort working directly with the Executive Director and Owner and managing projects and sales through to completion with minimal oversight.
- Self-motivated and driven, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills — able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with an instinct for follow-through.
- Strong presentation skills, with the confidence to lead consultations and present to clients.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, invoicing tools, and standard office software.
- A collaborative, team-first attitude and comfort working in a fast-moving, high-touch environment.
- Passion for architecture, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
