Member Duties : VISTA will work with NyE Communities Coalition and the community in and around Nye County, NV, local stakeholders, hunger relief advocates, and community groups to increase nutrition access, education, and food insecurity awareness within Story and Lyon Counties. VISTA will work with NyECC and local food pantries develop programs to increase volunteerism, and create new systems for tracking, development, and training within the pantries. VISTA will work with stakeholders to develop a marketing strategy that will increase capacity and distribution of healthy foods, as well as bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity. VISTA will work with food pantry managers to create a volunteer management program/materials that will be used within food pantries to increase capacity for volunteers as well as distribution.
