Sidebar at Surdyk’s is a small, owner-operated restaurant and bar located in Surdyk’s Liquor & Cheese Shop in NE Minneapolis. We are seeking a qualified Line Cook to join our team.
An ideal candidate is flexible and available Friday and Saturday evenings consistently.
Duties include:
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
- Executing menu items as directed by Chefs.
- Cleaning up stations and taking care of leftover food at the end of shift.
- Stocking inventory appropriately.
- Complying with sanitation and safety standards.
- Ability and willingness to clean and maintain equipment.
- Maintaining a positive and professional rapport with coworkers and guests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one year Line Cook experience in a restaurant.
- An understanding of quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
- An understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Positive attitude and passion for food.
- Flexibility and reliability.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
