Position Overview:
The Personal Care Provider (PCP) delivers essential non-medical support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. Under the guidance of a care coordinator or supervisor, the PCP assists with daily living activities, provides companionship, and ensures a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Support mobility needs including transfers, ambulation, and positioning.

Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines.

Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, dishwashing, and general tidying.

Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.

Offer companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement in activities.

Escort clients to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.

Observe and report changes in client condition or environment to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and client interactions.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Completion of a state-approved personal care training program (if required).

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to follow care plans and work independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required).
Work Environment:
This role involves working in clients’ private homes, which may vary in layout and conditions. PCPs must be comfortable with occasional lifting, standing for extended periods, and adapting to different home environments.
