Pay: $33.00–$43.00 per hour + Additional Capless Commission

Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This is a senior-level position for an HVAC professional with extensive hands-on experience who can independently diagnose and resolve complex residential and commercial HVAC issues while also serving as a technical resource and leader for the rest of the team.
The ideal candidate is someone other technicians can turn to when they need help diagnosing a difficult problem. You should be confident troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and system-performance issues, and you should have the experience and judgment to make the right call in the field.
This position is not simply a service technician role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, provide leadership in the field, assist with difficult jobs, answer questions from other technicians, mentor less-experienced team members, and help maintain our company's standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
Senior HVAC Technician Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install residential and commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Take the lead on complex, difficult, or high-priority service calls.
- Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and assist them with difficult diagnostics and repairs.
- Answer technical questions from technicians and provide guidance when they encounter unfamiliar equipment or challenging problems.
- Lead by example and maintain a high standard of workmanship, professionalism, safety, and customer service.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and system-performance issues.
- Accurately interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, installation specifications, and HVAC design plans.
- Use diagnostic equipment effectively, including multimeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, temperature probes, combustion/airflow testing equipment, and other HVAC diagnostic tools.
- Identify root causes rather than simply treating symptoms and ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time.
- Assist with system commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
- Train, mentor, and support junior and mid-level technicians in proper diagnostic and repair procedures.
- Help establish and maintain best practices for installations, service, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
- Work alongside management to identify recurring technical issues and develop solutions.
- Assist with urgent equipment failures and provide reliable field support when needed.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, photographs, and work orders.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, coworkers, manufacturers, inspectors, and management.
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements, building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
- Represent the company professionally while working in customers' homes and commercial properties.
- Take ownership of assigned jobs and see them through to proper completion.
Senior HVAC Technician Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience in both residential and commercial HVAC/R.
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical systems, refrigeration systems, airflow, controls, equipment operation, and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex HVAC problems.
- Ability and willingness to assist other technicians with troubleshooting and technical questions.
- Proven leadership ability and willingness to take responsibility in the field.
- Ability to mentor and train less-experienced technicians.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC plans.
- Strong diagnostic skills and experience using professional HVAC testing equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as a leader and resource for the entire service team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Universal EPA Certification required.
- Fluent English required.
- Must be dependable, professional, organized, and capable of handling responsibility without constant supervision.

We are looking for a true senior technician, not simply someone who has spent several years in the trade.
The right candidate has enough experience to walk into an unfamiliar situation, understand what they are seeing, develop a diagnostic plan, and determine the correct solution. You should be comfortable being the person other technicians call when they are stuck.
You should be willing to lead from the front, teach others, take ownership of difficult jobs, and help raise the technical standard of the entire team.

Compensation
$33.00–$43.00 per hour + Additional Capless Commission

Requirements
Experience:
- Residential & Commercial HVAC/R: 5+ years required
- Extensive field-service and troubleshooting experience strongly preferred
License/Certification:
- Universal EPA Certification required
Language:
Driver's License:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Location:
- Must currently reside in Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco County
- Must be able to commute to Tampa, FL 33612
