CNC Mill Operator Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set Up/Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating milling machines and a strong understanding of machining processes. This role is critical to ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet our stringent quality standards. The CNC Mill Operator will work in a fast-paced factory environment and will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate CNC milling machines according to specifications and production requirements.
- Assemble tooling and fixtures necessary for machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance on milling machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers to verify dimensions of machined parts.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to maintain high standards.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling as needed within the factory environment.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in operating CNC milling machines with knowledge of Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, including tooling, assembly, and quality control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with factory environments and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
