As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Ennis Electric, you’ll support our self-performed sitework and electrical installations by safely operating machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and trenchers. This role plays a key part in preparing job sites, digging trenches, backfilling, and moving materials as needed to keep our projects moving. You’ll work closely with our field crews to ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and with safety top of mind.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to support electrical installation and site preparation
Dig trenches for conduit and utility installation per plans
Load and move materials around the jobsite
Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues
Follow safety procedures and support a clean, organized worksite
Collaborate with foremen and electricians to keep projects on schedule
Qualifications:
Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting
Familiarity with trenching and working around underground utilities
Ability to read site plans and follow direction
CDL or equipment certifications a plus
