ADMINISTRATOR QUALIFICATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION
The Administrator must 21 years old and be certified by the CCLD and meet all Department requirements for an administrator of an Adult Residential Care Facility. This person must be fingerprint cleared before starting, have experience in providing care and super- vision to adult residents with developmental disabilities, including those who lack hazard awareness, and an interest in helping adults with daily living challenges. Mature judgment and the ability to act in times of crisis. Good physical and mental health is required as are a valid/current California driver’s license, a driving record free of accidents for the past three years, and a current in person CPR and First Aid certificate. Good physical health will be verified with health screening /TB clearance by a licensed medical professional. The Administrator must be capable of covering all shifts in the case of staff call outs. The Administrator must be capable of managing the staff, budget and operations of the facility. The Administrator must have completed the required four-hour HIV-TB course and must maintain the current status of his/her administrator’s certificate by completing a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education units annually.
The administrator will be responsible for:
1. Screening and admitting residents to the facility.
2. Ensuring the facility has the supplies necessary to provide the services to the residents, including food, hygiene items etc.
3. Providing or arranging transportation to activities, medical or other professional support services.
4. Completing all necessary records to screen and admit residents to the facility.
5. Maintaining current accurate records (client, personnel and financial). 6. Observing and monitoring resident's needs to ensure they are met.
7. Maintain and stay HCBS compliant.
8. Ensuring residents are relocated when they are no longer appropriate for the level of care the facility provides or that for which it is licensed.
9. Submitting incident reports to licensing.
10. The administrator will be on site at the facility a minimum of 20 hours per week and will respond as necessary at other times.
11. Hiring, orienting, training and supervising staff
12. Develop care plans for residents in consultation with appropriate health professionals.
13. Communicating with facility visitors, CCLD and Regional Center officials, families and medical care personnel
14. Reviewing and updating online systems (Alcomy & Care Academy)
15. Scheduling a minimum of two Staff meetings per month, Submitting Agenda & Sign in sheets from staff meetings
16. Reviewing Time Card Reports
17. Counseling staff on policy violations
18. Coordinating & Meeting with internal QA Personnel
19. Submitting Business Card Receipts and Receipt Tracker Form to Bookkeeper Weekly
20. Communicating with HR Administrators
The Administrator of the facility will have an office on the premises. When not present, the Assistant Administrator will have the responsibility and authority to act in behalf of the Administrator in all areas related to resident care and supervision.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
