Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing clear managerial communication and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems to track stock levels, process orders, and optimize inventory accuracy.
- Operate or oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and the operation of equipment.
- Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries while maintaining accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required for effective communication across diverse teams.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution center management, or warehouse supervisor roles.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory control, logistics, and materials handling.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to operate or supervise the use of forklift trucks and other heavy lifting equipment safely.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff, manage conflicts, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, lean management practices, and distribution center operations is highly desirable.
