We are currently recruiting qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for multiple potential federal contracts supporting USDA Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Centers in Arkansas, Washington, and Oregon.
These positions are contingent upon Secure Access Group LLC being awarded one or more federal contracts. Qualified applicants may be interviewed and credentialed during the proposal evaluation period.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing services to students enrolled at one of several USDA Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Centers. Students generally range in age from 16 to 24 years old and are participating in the federally funded Job Corps program. Nursing services are provided in accordance with USDA Forest Service, U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and Job Corps Program Requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will:
- Provide professional nursing care for students.
- Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries.
- Administer medications and treatments as authorized.
- Coordinate referrals to physicians, dentists, specialists, hospitals, and community healthcare providers.
- Monitor and follow up on student medical conditions.
- Maintain complete and accurate student medical records.
- Protect the confidentiality of all medical information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness education.
- Educate students on personal hygiene, nutrition, communicable diseases, HIV/STDs, substance abuse prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
- Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Health and Wellness Director, Center Physician, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in required meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain compliance with all USDA Forest Service, Department of Labor, and Job Corps policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license or be eligible to obtain licensure in the assigned state before the start date.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Professional liability insurance (if required by state law or employer policy).
- Ability to pass all required background investigations and credentialing requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- School Nursing
- Community Health
- Public Health
- Occupational Health
- Correctional Health
- Military or Federal Healthcare
- Working with adolescents or young adults
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Approximately 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Approximately 2,080 hours annually
