Salary and Benefits
Police Officer (Entry Level) - $50,000 starting, with a 5% increase to $52,250 upon completion of the department's six-month Field Training Program.

Duties
Patrol assigned areas; respond to emergency 911 calls; enforce local, state, and federal laws; conduct traffic enforcement; manage high-risk crises; conduct routine criminal investigations; investigate traffic collisions; secure crime scenes; collect and maintain evidence; conduct interviews of witnesses, victims, and suspects; serve warrants and effect arrests; etc.
Requirements
· NC Basic Law Enforcement Training Certificate
· US Citizen
· 21 years of age
· High School Graduate/GED
· No Criminal History
· Clean driving record with no major offenses for DWI or other disqualifying traffic violations
· Drug Screen
· Medical Examination
· Must meet all State of NC and Town physical fitness requirements
· Comprehensive background investigation and process
· Psychological Exam
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
