Purpose
At Anytime Fitness, our Personal Trainers play a key role in guiding members toward healthier lifestyles through customized training and supportive coaching. Trainers are responsible for delivering individualized fitness programs, leading small group training sessions (2–6 participants), and ensuring the safe and effective use of equipment. By creating a motivating and supportive environment, trainers help clients achieve their personal health and fitness goals.
In addition to training responsibilities, Personal Trainers are expected to contribute to business growth by making lead calls, conducting complimentary introductory workouts, etc and achieving a minimum of $4,000 in monthly personal training sales, with a goal of $6,000 or more. These efforts are vital for both individual performance and the overall success of the club.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Duties
- Educate clients on the proper and safe use of all gym equipment and facilities, while enforcing club policies.
- Supervise and instruct clients in the correct use of cardiovascular, resistance, and free-weight equipment.
- Lead small group personal training sessions to boost client engagement and education.
- Conduct daily fitness consultations and sales appointments to support the growth of the personal training business.
Programmatic Duties
- Design, document, and implement personalized workout programs tailored to each client's individual needs and goals.
- Provide guidance on exercise and general nutrition to support client success.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to track progress and adjust programming as needed.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with Anytime Fitness standards.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any safety or maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in all personal training spaces.
Administrative & Team Support Duties
- Represent the Anytime Fitness brand professionally and positively at all times.
- Attend and actively participate in paid staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and service-oriented environment for both clients and staff.
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of members and clients at all times.
- Uphold high performance and conduct standards, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Maintain punctuality and follow proper procedures for absences or schedule changes.
Qualifications
- Personal Training Certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal training or fitness instruction.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required within 30 days of hire).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A positive, professional attitude and a genuine passion for helping others improve their health and fitness.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.90 - $45.00 per hour
