Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices, maintaining a clean and organized work station at all times.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal offerings that meet customer preferences.
- Support food service operations by plating dishes attractively and ensuring timely delivery to guests or clients.
- Manage food handling procedures, including storage, portioning, and inventory control, to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Follow all health regulations and safety guidelines to uphold a safe kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable.
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
