Gripple Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting functions of Gripple Inc. This role will serve as a key business partner to the Finance Director, providing strong financial control, insightful analysis, and leadership across the accounting function to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
This role reports to the Finance Director and is based on-site at Gripple’s North American headquarters in Aurora, IL.

Key Responsibilities
· Financial reporting & close
o Lead period-end and year‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
o Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger transactions
o Analyze key variances
o Support Finance Director with management reporting, forecasts, and board‑level reporting inputs
· Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
o Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes alongside department leads
o Support long‑range planning and capital expenditure analysis
· Controls, Compliance & Audit
o Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and procedures
o Lead the annual financial audit/review
o Ensure compliance with sales tax, use tax, and other regulatory obligations
· Team Leadership & Process Improvement
o Assist in leading and developing a team of four (AR/AP/Staff Accountants)
o Drive process improvements across ERP, close efficiency, reporting, and controls
o Lead rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365
· Business Partnership
o Partner with Operations, Sales, P&C, and Supply Chain to support financial decision‑making
o Support working capital management, including inventory, receivables, and payables
o Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Gripple’s employee‑ownership culture
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
· 6+ years of financial management and progressive accounting experience (Controller or Senior Accounting role preferred)
· Manufacturing or distribution environment experience strongly preferred
· Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
· Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
· Proven ability to balance hands‑on work with leadership responsibilities

Job Type and Pay
· Job Type: Full-time, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
· Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (depending on experience)
· This is not a remote position.
