Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across a variety of commercial construction projects nationwide. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, and partnering closely with project managers, clients, and design teams. This position requires a high level of ownership, leadership, and flexibility, along with the ability to travel frequently to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain and enforce project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones
- Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to plans/specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve issues proactively
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation
- Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on-site
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
- Proven experience managing ground-up and/or renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (projects may be nationwide)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
