Quality Engineer (HVAC Manufacturing)
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products and manufacturing processes consistently meet customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting production, resolving quality issues, and maintaining compliance with quality management systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 1+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of ISO and/or IATF quality standards.
- Experience with APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, 8D problem solving, and Inspection Plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with quality improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical quality resource for manufacturing by developing and maintaining APQP documentation, including Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans.
- Support production teams in achieving quality objectives and maintaining compliance with company quality policies and customer requirements.
- Monitor daily manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to established quality standards and procedures.
- Utilize quality engineering tools and Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Investigate customer quality concerns, implement containment activities, and lead or support 8D problem-solving efforts to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO, IATF, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Develop, implement, and track quality improvement action plans to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits and assist with maintaining the organization's quality management system.
- Promote and support the company's mission, core values, Code of Conduct, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion workplace organization and safety by supporting 5S and safety programs.
- Travel to customer locations as needed to support quality initiatives and strengthen customer relationships.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
