About the Opportunity
Our client is expanding its middle-mile and last-mile delivery network and is seeking experienced logistics leaders to operate and grow established delivery operations.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a background in transportation, logistics,
fleet management, or delivery operations, who are ready to take ownership of operational performance. Rather than building a business from scratch, you'll operate an established delivery operation supported by proven systems, existing customer demand, and ongoing operational resources.

What You'll Do
As an owner-operator, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of an assigned delivery operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily middle-mile and last-mile delivery operations across a fleet of refrigerated vehicles
- Recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and developing delivery drivers
- Managing daily routing, dispatch, pickups, and final-mile deliveries to ensure service commitments are met
- Driving operational performance across key metrics including On-Time Performance (OTP), Service Level Agreements (SLA), safety, and customer satisfaction
- Monitoring fleet utilization and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Managing operating expenses, payroll, and working capital while maintaining a profitable operation
- Leading a team of approximately 10–30 drivers and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Solving operational challenges and implementing continuous process improvements
- Working closely with support teams to ensure the operation continues to scale successfully

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, delivery, warehouse, or other labor-intensive operations
- Proven success managing teams of 10–30 drivers or frontline employees
- Experience overseeing fleet operations, dispatch, routing, and daily logistics execution
- Strong understanding of operational finance, including payroll, operating costs, and profitability
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and drive measurable business results
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
- A self-starter with an ownership mindset who enjoys leading teams and growing operations
