We are adding an additional Project Manager to our team, a peer-level role carrying its own project portfolio with full ownership from kickoff to closeout. About the Role
This is a peer Project Manager position, not a junior role. You will own a dedicated project portfolio alongside our existing PM, with full responsibility for your clients, your subs, your schedules, and your budgets. You report directly to the Operations Manager and work in close coordination with the Principal.
We run our projects through Ressio, our job management system. Comfort with or a genuine eagerness to learn a new technology-driven project management system is essential. Daily documentation, schedule updates, and client communication all live in Ressio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of active residential remodeling projects simultaneously
- Own project schedules end-to-end. Build them, update them daily, and hold the line
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the full project lifecycle
- Coordinate team, subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries with precision
- Conduct regular job site visits to verify quality, safety, and project progress
- Log daily field notes, progress updates, and client communications in Ressio
- Review plans, scopes of work, and change orders
- Flag issues before they become problems and proactively problem solve
- Track project costs in real time and communicate budget impacts to ownership proactively
- Drive sub accountability: confirm schedules, document work, follow up without being asked
- Ensure every project closes on time, on budget, and to Boon's quality standards
What We're Really Looking For
Beyond the resume, we're hiring for character and habits. The right person:
- Documents without being reminded. Field notes, daily logs, client updates. You do this because you know it protects everyone.
- Communicates before clients have to ask. You send the update before the homeowner wonders what's happening.
- Owns the schedule. You built it, you manage it, and when things shift you adjust and re-communicate immediately.
- Holds subs accountable. You confirm, follow up, document. You don't let things slide hoping they'll sort themselves out.
- Is comfortable with technology. Ressio is our system of record. You log in daily, keep it current, and use it as your command center.
- Brings solutions, not just problems. You identify issues early and show up with a plan.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of residential construction experience
- Valid, clean driver's license
- Reliable, honest, strong personal accountability, and professional
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage multiple projects at varying stages
- Self-directed: you manage your day, your projects, and your trades without hand-holding
- Committed to high-quality workmanship and a sharp attention to detail
- Collaborates closely with ownership and field crew while leading subs and trades with confidence
- Strong knowledge of building codes, inspection sequences, and construction standards
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and with homeowners
- Proficient in English
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years in a lead construction or project management role
- 3+ years formal project management experience
- Experience with a Job Management System (Ressio, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Houzz Pro, or similar)
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- Familiarity with change order and budget tracking workflows
Compensation Package
- Annual salary: $60,000-$70,000 (negotiable based on experience)+ benefits
