About the Role
This is a Phase 1, credentialing-focused engagement — ideal for a licensed BCBA who wants flexible, remote, part-time work supporting a growing clinic's launch. You will not be providing direct clinical services or supervision in this phase; your role is to help us complete the administrative and licensing steps required to bill insurance.
There is potential for this relationship to grow into an ongoing clinical supervision role (Phase 2) as the clinic opens and begins seeing clients, to be discussed and contracted separately once Phase 1 is complete.
Responsibilities
- Complete, review, and formally attest your CAQH ProView profile
- Authorize linkage as a rendering/associate provider under the clinic's Group NPI
- Provide your individual NPI (Type 1), or obtain one if not already active
- Initiate and complete licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) — required for anyone providing ongoing remote services to Texas-based clients
- Cooperate with the clinic's third-party credentialing company by providing documentation, signatures, and attestations needed to enroll with in-network payers (including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicaid)
- Provide standard credentialing documentation: BACB certification letter, government-issued ID, diploma/transcripts, current CV/resume, proof of professional liability insurance, and signed W-9
- Respond promptly to credentialing-related follow-up requests
- Participate in brief coordination calls/emails as needed
Qualifications
- Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB (no disciplinary history)
- Eligible to obtain a Texas LBA license (BACB certification satisfies TDLR's requirements — no separate state exam needed)
- Active individual NPI, or willing to obtain one
- Active CAQH ProView profile, or willing to create one
- Current professional liability (malpractice) insurance
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Strong attention to detail and responsiveness — credentialing timelines depend on prompt follow-through
Compensation & Structure
- $1,500/month flat retainer covering the core credentialing tasks above
- $55/hour for any additional consultation time outside that scope
- Paid as a 1099 independent contractor (not an employee); you are responsible for your own taxes and benefits
- Flexible hours — no fixed schedule required, only defined deliverables and reasonable responsiveness to requests
Pay: $47.00 - $60.00 per hour
