Education and Experience:
- Tool & Die journeyman's card or proof of ten years related experience
- Experience troubleshooting in a production stamping plant
- Experience with progressive dies is required. Other experience in tandem, transfer, and ejection mold
- Experience in cold & hot stamping is a plus
- Computer proficiency
- Understanding of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing is a plus
- Reporting downtime/KPI’s
- Understanding of TS16949
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead cross functional team members
Ability to use and explain how to use hand tools
Knowledge on the operation of manual machines, such as, mills, lathes, saws, and different grinders
Knowledge of welding applications, spotting application, the operations of a CNC, and GD&T as it relates to gages and gage instructions
Ability to read and interpret CMM reports and scan data as it relates to dies and part quality
Knowledge of die functions, setting dies in a press and rebuilding standard die components
Knowledge of hot stamping technologies
Operate cranes and any other equipment for working on dies or die setting assets
