POSITION SUMMARY
The Braze Operator is responsible for performing precision metal joining using Brazing techniques on aerospace components. This role ensures all assemblies meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform brazing operations on aerospace components using furnaces, or induction equipment
- Prepare materials by cleaning, fitting, and assembling parts to required tolerances
- Select and apply appropriate filler metals and fluxes
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process specifications
- Monitor and control heating cycles to ensure proper bonding without damaging base materials
- Inspect finished joints for quality using visual and non-destructive testing methods
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration requirements)
- Document work performed, including process parameters and inspection results
- Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Performs other duties as required to support department objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 1-2+ years of brazing or related metal-joining experience (aerospace preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment processes
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques
SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work with high-temperature equipment safely
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
WORK ENVIROMENT
- Manufacturing or production facility
- Exposure to high temperatures, fumes, and industrial equipment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Employees may sit, stand, or walk throughout the shift; primarily sitting.
- Lift up to 25-50lbs. as needed
- Good vision (with or without correction) for detailed inspection work
- Repetitive hand/arm movements for operating machinery or performing assembly tasks.

Salary Range: $18 .00 - $22.00 - Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibility, skills, training and other qualifications.
