The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Oakland University provides students opportunities to develop the analytical and problem-solving skills needed for a vast array of modern careers. As one of the largest departments in the College of Arts and Sciences, we offer a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics for Educators, Applied Statistics, Actuarial Science, and Applied Data Science as well as Master’s and Ph.D. programs in applied mathematical sciences.
Our department serves a vital support role across the university, providing essential quantitative training for other schools, including School of Engineering and Computer Science, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Education and Human Services.
