Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Exhaust Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing exhaust systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding will ensure the delivery of high-quality exhaust components that meet rigorous safety and performance standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative automotive or industrial exhaust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design performance exhaust systems for modern day auto & light truck models.
- Operate various fabrication tools including press brake machines, Bridgeport milling machines, manual lathes, plasma cutters, and bending presses to shape sheet metal and other materials.
- Have strong Mig / Tig skills for mild & stainless steel.
- Perform welding tasks utilizing appropriate techniques to assemble exhaust systems securely and reliably.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments for quality control inspections.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production, including crane operation and proper handling of hand tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance on fabrication machinery, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal tool setup for consistent quality output.
Skills
- Proficiency with welding & cutting equipment, Bridgeport milling machines, manual lathes, plasma cutters, and stamping presses.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for exhaust fabrication including MIG/TIG welding.
- Familiarity with CNC mandrel tube bending a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments along with measurement accuracy for quality inspection purposes.
