Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage equipment in industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation processes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, including frame carpentry and schematic reviews.
- Perform low voltage wiring tasks for control panels, sensors, and communication systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and upgrades to support ongoing system reliability.
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in installing and maintaining complex electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Commercial electrician experience is highly valued for understanding building codes and safety standards applicable across various settings.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site work is essential.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations, high voltage systems, low voltage controls, and automation technology such as PLCs.
- Skilled in using hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools necessary for construction and renovation projects.
- Previous construction site experience involving renovation projects or new installations is preferred.
- Knowledge of schematic diagrams related to industrial electrical systems combined with handyman skills such as framing carpentry enhances versatility on the job site.
- Ability to operate testing instruments like ohmmeters confidently while adhering to safety standards for high voltage work.
