Full-Time Classroom Teacher for both Lower School and Middle School
We are seeking a full-time classroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
The following is a description of the duties and responsibilities of the position:
Support the mission, vision, and philosophy of the school
Foster a spirit of collaboration and collegiality
Help to maintain a positive school climate and culture
Conduct morning and afternoon homeroom activities for students
Instruct students in Social Studies, Science, EF, and Social Confidence, small group instruction
Utilize multi-sensory techniques and multiple modalities in classroom instruction
Create lessons and units utilizing all available resources
Create tests and quizzes to assess student mastery of the curriculum
Teach and reinforce organizational, study, and social skills
Strive for student mastery at each level of instruction
Develop strategies and assist students to overcome academic and/or social challenges
Work with Teacher Assistant to provide appropriate support for students
Record and post yearly and unit plans
Complete daily Behavior Charts for specified students
Conduct Parent Conferences twice a year
Communicate with parents on a regular basis
Communicate with Small Group Instructors regarding student needs
Keep gradebook up-to-date
Issue quarterly Interim Reports on a timely basis
Prepare quarterly report cards
Assist in preparing for special programs/events and chaperoning field trips
Attend professional development opportunities offered by the school
Assume other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
