Honey Bee's Early Learning Center is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and creative Pre-K Teacher to join our Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based learning community. Our ideal candidate believes children are capable, curious, and competent learners and is committed to creating meaningful experiences that inspire exploration, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
- Plan and facilitate hands-on, child-led, play-based learning experiences inspired by children's interests and observations.
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and independence through open-ended materials and purposeful play.
- Foster children's social-emotional development using positive guidance and respectful interactions.
- Prepare engaging learning invitations both indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically inviting classroom environment that reflects children's work and learning.
- Communicate professionally and positively with families regarding children's development and daily experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida DCF licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with administration and teaching team members to maintain a positive school culture.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 pounds.
- Sit, kneel, bend, and actively engage with children on the floor.
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Meet all state health requirements for childcare employees.
